Covid Cases Began To Drop In May
When COVID cases began to drop in May 2020, we started preparation for a re-entry plan to get our teammates back in the office in June. Our #1 priority is the safety of our team, and the best first line of defense was our responsibility for our teammates to wait on coming back to the office if they are not in perfect health. At first, our leaders at Halcyon structured a plan of phases to have everyone back eventually.
We began the stages of reopening in June as planned. Stage 1 consisted of a maximum of 16 teammates at any one time and originally planned to wait on moving on Stage 2 for at least another 30 days. However, as many of us know, things do not always go as planned.
Our Response to Increased COVID-19 Cases in Florida
Once restrictions were lifted in June 2020, there was a massive increase in COVID cases across Florida. We decided that this was the time to take extra precautions to continue to practice safe hygiene, social distancing, and for everyone to wear their masks in the office and whenever they leave their homes. These practices are crucial to the health and safety of our teammates, their families, and our communities. We continue to follow office capacity, as previously mentioned.
We are lucky to be living in such a technologically advanced era to still communicate with our carrier partners and agents via email, phone, conference calls, and video calls. Halcyon Underwriters has put priorities on the safety of our team and workflow efficiency for the sake of our customers during such uncertain times.
Remaining Accessible to Our Agent Partners
Business interruptions have affected some agencies during the pandemic as the hospitality industry struggled tremendously, especially at the beginning. The more recent premium increases, such as property risks with agencies looking at other markets we offer, for additional information, visit this article.
Otherwise, our teammates are still directly reachable with their office numbers; for our staff directory, click .
Conclusion
With that being said, we are all taking precautions while still being available for our agency partners and their insureds as we continue to stay safe and healthy during these times. We hope to see the days to meet face-to-face again with our agency and carrier partners and see our Halcyon teammates back in the office environment.
