Utica First has recently launched its new rating platform with a clean, modernized, user-friendly layout called UFirstNow! Utica First’s new system is soon available to our agent partners for quoting new commercial Artisan Contractors and BOP policies. As your insureds’ policies renew, UFirstNow! will ultimately replace the Agency Link system.
UFirstNow! uses pre-fills and underwriting type edit capabilities to enhance the customer portal. All commercial artisan or BOP quotes will need to be submitted to our Small Business Unit or your assigned underwriter to receive a quote as we wait for the portal to be available to our retail agent partners. For our agent partners with access to the prior system, you will receive an email directly from Utica First with instructions on setting up your account in UFirstNow. Once Utica grants access to our retail agent partners, you will be able to log in via uticafirst.com, click on the Agents tab, and Select UFirstNow (NEW) to log in and begin quoting.
Once the new system is live for our agent partners, please note that each agent must have their login credentials as sharing login information is not permitted. A Multi-Factor Authentication will be required when signing in to the UFirstNow platform.

To start a quote, you will click “New Quote,” this will prompt you to create a customer, which will allow you to organize your insureds so any changes will fall under the same customer. Then you can change the Customer Type drop-down to “Business” and continue filling out the requested information. When entering the New Customer, use the location address rather than the mailing address. The address will be matched to Google and continue to complete the remaining fields.

Access Training Tutorials
There will be two options available to view Utica First training videos on the UFirstNow! system. For our retail agent partners with access to the previous Utica First system (AgencyLink) click here, then click Rate Now to login to the Agent Portal (AgencyLink). Once logged into your AgencyLink account, you can use the Help/Tutorial link to the left of the screen (Figure 3).

A second option would be to access the tutorial from your UFirstNow account when it becomes available to you. To find the videos and tutorials, you will need to click on the Policy Forms, General Forms, or Rating Manuals button. Then the page will load, and you can click ‘Tutorials’ in the upper right corner to view step-by-step videos.
