Tower Hill Targets Offices & Retail Spaces: BOP & Monoline Property

This year Tower Hill celebrates its 50th anniversary of offering both Businessowners (BOP) and Monoline Property products. Tower Hill can write commercial lines coverage available on admitted paper in the following states: Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, and Texas.

There have been a few carrier updates with several insurance companies affiliated with Tower Hill Insurance Group; Vantage Risk Specialty now has a Financial Strength Rating of A- XII (Excellent) by A.M. Best, RenaissanceRe Specialty U.S. LTS. (RSUSL) has a Financial Strength Rating of A+ XV (Superior) by A.M Best, and Tower Hill Prime has a Financial Strength Rating of B+ XIII (Good) by A.M Best. Each of these insurance companies is equipped with the capabilities to support your insureds.

Target Risks

Currently, offices and retail businesses are at the top of this carrier’s radar. Tower Hill is targeting Office/Retail classes of business, including the following risks:
  • Professional, Medical & Dental Offices
  • Veterinary Offices
  • Preschools, Child Care Centers, Martial Arts Centers
  • Multi-Tenant Retail Shopping Centers
  • LRO Exposures
  • Flex-Use and Mixed Occupancy Facilities

Office / Retail Submission Requirements

Offices and retail facilities are in appetite for Tower Hill, offering business owners policy and property coverage up to $30 Million (per location) in total insured value (TIV). Our small business unit handles accounts below $20,000 in premium and frequently writes this class segment with Tower Hill successfully.

When sending a submission for an office or retail facility, please submit complete ACORD applications and any applicable supplement application. Furthermore, we recommend including these items in your new business submission: a copy of lease agreements with appropriate hold harmless arrangements, a diagram of the facility (including fences, gates, and parking lots), rent rolls, and a schedule of occupants and tenant certificates of insurance would be needed for a complete review. Commercial and residential risks are also on Tower Hill's radar. Tower Hill can write Assisted Living Facilities, Condos, Townhome communities, Associations (condo and homeowners), mobile homes, and RV and traveler trailer parks. Even though condos are currently in appetite for Tower Hill, the condo association market has been very competitive in this hard market. Most success with the Commercial Residential program has been with Assisted Living Facilities. Daycare, Veterinary Offices, and Assisted Living Facilities which are offered only on a Monoline Property basis.
